Golden Nuggets

292-1013-A0330I have some nuggets to share today, but they are not my nuggets. They have, however, been swirling around in my thoughts since I heard them.

Our Senior Pastor gave a wonderful sermon on Sunday about the teachings of Jesus. At one point he was teaching about the parable of the sower. (Matthew 13). It’s been a while, okay, more than a while since I have taken notes. Thankfully there was actually a pen at the bottom of my bottomless purse on Sunday! Here are the nuggets he shared:

“The gospel is the seed of the kingdom.”

“Cultivate the root of faith.”

“Good soil shapes and changes us to understand the teachings of Jesus.”

I’m sure you’ve heard the saying, “bloom where you are planted.” Its hard to bloom when our roots are not reaching down into the deep, rich, dense soil of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

May you start today or continue to bloom into the beautiful you He created you to be.

Shalom.
