Carried Away

Carry. This word gives me such hope! God was sending the Israelites into exile, yet He carried them there! As I read this verse I immediately pictured Jesus carrying each of His beloved children on his shoulders.

Reading further, God tells the Israelites, build houses, settle down, plant gardens and eat what they produce, marry and have sons and daughters, increase in number not decrease.

And then this….

“Also, seek the peace and prosperity of the city to which I have carried you into exile. Pray to the LORD for it, because if it prospers, you too will prosper.” Jeremiah 29:7.

Are you struggling today. Do you feel like God has turned His ear away from you? Take heart, Precious One, God has carried you to where you are now. It may not be fun, in fact, it may be very painful, BUT, The Good Shepard carries you. He has made provision for you exactly where you are. He has something to show you and to teach you. Will you listen and learn? Pray for the place where you find yourself and prosper according to His will.
