The Ancient of Days

There He sits regal in all His robes, presiding over His courtroom. Sitting high above the gallery. There is kindness and love in His eys as He gazes my way. Can it be? Yes.

The Ancient of Days.

Suddenly and with out warning, His eyes blaze like a furnace. He slams down His gavel and looks directly at the accuser and proclaims, “She is NOT guilty!” The accuser, surprised and taken aback, shrinks and shrivels before my eyes. Handcuffed he is taken away to rot apart from the light and love of God that he once enjoyed.

How often do you, do I remind ourselves that as believers in Jesus we are not guilty of the accusations of Satan? Because of Jesus death on the Cross and our faith in Him we are free! The chains of bondage that held or continue to hold many have been broken. Right now, see in your mind, the breaking of these chains and proclaim, “Because of Jesus I am free!” The enemy has no victory over you. Quite the contrary, YOU, through the power of Holy Spirit and faith in Jesus have ultimate and final victory over him

In today’s verse is the word justified. It is the Greek word dikaioó. It means made right by God’s grace each time we receive (obey) faith (Bible.com).

Justification goes much deeper than faith alone. It is what we do for God on earth by His grace each time we receive faith to move and obey. Justification is ongoing and requires an action by you and by me.

As you continue to stay tethered to Jesus may you remember the power of Holy Spirit in you to receive greater and greater faith and his courage and boldness to do the good deeds He has called you to.

Live free!

Blessings from Adversity

Oftentimes, blessings find their birth inside adversity. Life this side of heaven is tough. Many times things go wrong more often than they go right. But when we choose to hang out with God He leads us in the right direction where everything goes right according to his will and we are filled with His peace, joy and comfort regardless of our current situation.

Choose peace, choose Jesus.

Shalom!

No Longer A Slave To Fear

This morning as I woke up these words from this song kept resonating through my mind “I’m no longer a slave to fear.” And as I sit at our big living room window looking out at the slightly foggy, mostly gray, wet dampness, as night turns into day, I felt led to listen to this song.

Immediately, Holy Spirit began to download a plethora of information. Over the past several weeks He has shown me that while the enemy has come to kill, steal and destroy, the drought IS over. that HE, the one true living God is restoring all the years that the enemy has stolen. That as a believer in Jesus Christ we have the authority to tell the mountains, that stand in our way and take our focus off of God, to move.

In quick succession the following verses came to mind.

Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. 1 Corinthians 3:17.

“Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” John 8:32.

So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed. John 8:36.

I believe fear is one of the greatest weapons Satan uses to keep us bound and tied down. Fear immobilizes us. We know deep in our soul what God has called us to do, what our gifts are that we hear God, but fear, fear steps in and distracts us from what God’s calling is for us.

Here are some of the lyrics to No Longer Slaves

You unravel me with a melody
You surround me with a song
Of deliverance from my enemies
‘Til all my fears are gone

I am surrounded
By the arms of the father
I am surrounded
By songs of deliverance

As I continued to listen to this song I realized this is what deliverance feels like. It isn’t some big production with glitz and flashing lights. It is a subtle, gentle assurance like the petals of a rose as they drop one by one until there is nothing left.

Precious One, you are no longer a slave to fear. You have been set free.

Shalom!

Freedom!

I didn’t set out intentionally looking for a nugget today but found one none the less!

Grace does not supersede the Law. Grace encourages us to love our neighbor as we love ourself. (James 2:8). All commands are summed up and the Law is fulfilled by the command, “Love your neighbor as you love yourself.” (Romans 13:8-10)

Freedom in Christ does not mean indulging or continuing in sin. (Galatians 5:13-14) It is by the power of the Holy Spirit that we are free and He empowers and enables us to continue in freedom.

heart-of-heartsWhen we love our neighbor as we love ourself we see the Law and Grace walking side by side!

For the Lord is the Spirit, and wherever the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. 2 Corinthians 3:17
